In the educational system of Buddhism, the Middle Way or the Noble Eightfold Path is the defining principle. Striving for harmony between theory and practice, the goal is for the acquired knowledge to become experience through practice, and then for the experiences to be integrated into everyday life. The goal of basic training is to get to know ourselves through the acquisition of the appropriate attitude, skills and knowledge, to understand our current situation of existence and life through the acquisition and practice of Buddhist methods, to find our own place in the world, and ultimately to properly guide ourselves. Therefore, a large proportion of practical classes and seminars are connected to the theoretical training.
