Call for help for refugees from Ukraine

We, Buddhist practitioners who are sensitive to suffering and followers of the Buddha’s teachings, feel it is our duty to help those in need and try to alleviate the difficulties that have now arisen in connection with the crisis in Ukraine.
The Tan Kapuja Buddhist Church, the Tan Kapuja Buddhist College, and the Tan Kapuja Buddhist High School are doing everything they can to provide as much help as possible to those in need and to ensure that this help reaches those who need it directly.
For this reason, the above institutions are providing substantial support to an aid organization that is in direct contact with those in need, refugees, and can thus directly help those in distress.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

The Tan Kapuja Buddhist Church and the Tan Kapuja Buddhist College’s joint organization, the Tan Kapuja Karuna Aid Service, is organizing a collection for refugees who have been forced to flee to our country due to the crisis in Ukraine.
If you would like to help by making a donation, you can do so in the following ways:

1. You can make a monetary donation by transferring funds to the Tan Kapuja Buddhist Church’s donation account.
Please write “Ukrainian crisis” in the message field.

Our bank account number:

The Tan Kapuja will forward the donated amounts directly to an organization that is in contact with those in need, refugees, and can thus directly help those in distress.

2. In person We accept the following donations delivered to the Tan Kapuja Buddhist College:

  • ready-to-eat non-perishable food and beverages (instant soup, canned food, snacks, chocolate, energy bars, small cans of soda, etc.),
  • personal hygiene items (shower gel, toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, paper tissues, sanitary pads, diapers, etc.).

Donations can be dropped off at the large bright yellow gate (emergency exit) located 15 meters to the right of the main entrance of the Tan Kapuja Buddhist College (Budapest IX. district, Börzsöny u. 11.) after prior consultation with the coordinator of the Aid Service.
