It is with great joy that we announce that the prestigious Mahachulongkornrajavidayala University of Thailand is opening its doors here in Europe, at the Dharma Gate Buddhist College. In September of 2014, together we will proudly open the gates to the new European Buddhist Training Center – the EBTC – which, in respect to Buddhist culture and teachings, will be the widest gate between the East and West. The Center will offer a place of gathering for all those studying the Dharma, whether they approach it through intellect or experience.
We believe that understanding the Dharma and living its teachings reduces the unhappiness of the individual, and so, by teaching the Dharma and by showing others how to live by its teachings one can reduce the unhappiness of many more. We believe only credible teachers can groom credible teachers, teachers who live by what they teach and teach by what they live. We have gathered the credible teachers, and await the students who aspire to join their ranks, whether as teachers by occupation or teachers by life-example. Together, we can open wide the gate to the Dharma!
