The building of Dharma Gate will be renewed

On September 22, the autumn equinox, Dharma Gate, now 30 years old, began what is perhaps the biggest development in its history. On this day, demolition, reinforcement, and construction work began on the former dormitory on Csengettyű Street, which houses the offices of the Dharma Gate Buddhist Church, its practice rooms, the Buddha FM studio, kitchen, dining room, and, of course, the classrooms of the Dharma Gate Buddhist College.

The plans for the impressive new college and church building, with its oriental character, were drawn up by Art1st Design Studio Kft. under the leadership of Dániel Taraczky. The construction is being carried out by Bauinvest Kft. under the leadership of Gerő Barta.

The work is expected to take a year, so the college’s 31st class is expected to be able to begin their studies in the new building in September 2021.

You can also place your donation in the donation box located in the College building at 11 Börzsöny Street. If you choose this option, please comply with the epidemiological regulations (wearing a mask, being symptom-free, etc.) when entering the building. Next to the donation box, you will find paper, a pen, and an envelope. Please write your name on the paper, place it in the envelope with your donation, and then drop it in the box, or prepare the envelope in advance and simply drop it in the donation box.
