Dear Friend!
This year, citizens can again donate 1% of their personal income tax to a church and an additional 1% to social organizations, foundations, and higher education institutions.
If you identify with the goals embodied in the operation of Dharma Gate Buddhist College, we ask that you honor us with your support, which reflects your trust in us. If you find supporters among your family members and acquaintances, please share with them our college’s tax number and the technical number of our supporting church. We thank you in advance for considering us worthy of your generous support!
The tax number of the Dharma Gate Buddhist College is: 18232132-2-43
The technical number of the Dharma Gate Buddhist College: 0255
This year, as in previous years, the beneficiary’s tax number must be indicated on the declaration form in the case of foundations and higher education institutions, and the technical number in the case of churches. There are several ways to attach the declaration to your tax return – it is important to note that the declaration can be mailed to the NAV separately, independently of the tax return, by May 20 – so we ask all our dear friends to carefully inform themselves about the options available to avoid invalidating their donation due to a formal error.
Thank you for supporting the work of Dharma Gate with 1% of your tax!
If your income is so low that you do not have to pay personal income tax, you can still allocate 1% of your tax to churches in your tax return. This is because the state provides additional support for EVERY 1% donation to churches. However, this support is distributed among the churches in proportion to the number of donors, regardless of whether the 1% donation amounts to zero forints in this case.
Those whose tax returns are prepared by the NAV can also make a 1+1% tax donation, as the tax office does not do this on their behalf! In this case, you can find out about the “form” of the donation in the link to the relevant NAV page at the bottom of our call for donations.
Detailed information on the form and possibilities of the 1+1% tax donation can be found on this page of the National Tax and Customs Administration:
