On September 4, first-year students of Dharma Gate Buddhist College attended the ceremonial opening of the academic year.
The ceremony took place in the garden of the newly renovated building on Csengettyű Street, at the Pure Mind Stupa. The academic year was opened by Gábor Karsai, rector of the college, and László Mireisz and Zoltán Cser, president and director of the Dharma Gate Buddhist Church. At the end of the ceremony, the first-year students were welcomed as students of the college with the lighting of a candle and incense.
A record number of 116 new students began their studies at the Dharma Gate Buddhist College in the 2021-22 academic year, 39 of whom are enrolled in the BA daytime program, 71 in the BA evening program, and 6 in the MA program.
We are particularly pleased that only five of those accepted in the admission process decided not to enroll in our institution this year, meaning that 96% of those accepted have begun their studies at our college.
We wish everyone a successful academic year!
