2026. January 27–31, a delegation from The Dharma Gate Buddhist College (DGBC) paid a professional visit to the International Buddhist Studies College (IBSC) of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU) in Thailand. The aim of the programme was to gain insight into institutional operations, student services, and academic administration practices, and to further strengthen DGBC–MCU/IBSC cooperation (staff mobility, institutional liaison, and academic collaboration).
As part of the visit, Dr. Péter Győri, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, held consultations with the IBSC leadership and the heads of administrative units, covering institutional management, student services, admissions and registration processes, and quality assurance practices.
The educational programme of the visit involved Zoltán Cser and Dr. Melinda Irtl Földiné. In connection with the cooperation, several programme elements linked to courses and open lectures were included within the IBSC Visiting Professor Series, such as: “Traditions and Rituals of Buddhist School,” “Mindfulness and Emotional Intelligence Development,” “Comparative Studies on Buddhist Schools,” “Introduction to Religions,” “Buddhism and Sustainable Development,” as well as the public lecture “Buddhist Response to Global Challenges in the 21st Century.”
A key component of the professional programme was the review of research and publication linkages, which also provided reference points for preparing future joint initiatives. The visit concluded with the delegation’s participation in an IBSC community event, offering further opportunities for networking.
