Double book launch at Dharma Gate

Esemény leírása

Conversation about the anniversary volume TanKapu30, published on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Dharma Gate Buddhist Church and College, and Antal Dobosy’s latest book, A Nincs-kapu (The Gate of Nothingness).

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Dharma Gate. To mark the occasion, Dharma Gate has compiled a collection of anniversary essays. Edited by Géza Rába and proofread by László Tenigl-Takács, the volume contains nearly 80 writings that are closely or loosely related to Buddhism, and whose authors are connected to Dharma Gate or a Buddhist community in Hungary. The essay collection, titled TanKapu30, will be published in mid-December by Dharma Gate Publishing House.

Also in December, Zen teacher Antal Dobosy, one of the founders of Dharma Gate, will publish his latest book, A Nincs-kapu. The volume is a collection of classic Zen Buddhist koans with teachings, explanations, and notes, and will be published by Dharma Gate Publishing House as the first publication in the Dharma Gate Teachers series.

The online presentation of the above two volumes will take place on December 18, 2021, at 5 p.m. on The Tan Kapuja YouTube channel.

Participants in the discussion:
László Mireisz – President of the Dharma Gate Buddhist Church
Antal Dobosy – Professor at the Dharma Gate Buddhist College
Zoltán Cser – Director of the Dharma Gate Buddhist Church
Gábor Karsai – Rector of the Dharma Gate Buddhist College

Following the book launch, at 6 p.m., the church will hold a Maitreya celebration and ceremony, which will also be broadcast on The Gate of Knowledge YouTube channel.

After the ceremony, 8 p.m., we will hold a pre-premiere screening of the film Menedék, also live on The Dharma Gate YouTube channel.
