Study-related questions

You can find it under the “Studies/Program data” menu in Neptun.

This is because the course schedule information has not yet been processed in Neptun.

The system allows it, but during registration, your academic administrator will also show you the course selection, and together you can select the necessary courses as well as the elective courses you choose. During the course registration period, you can independently select your courses.

You can add courses within two weeks after the course registration period for an additional fee. The fee is 1500 HUF per course. The required amount must already be available in your student account when you submit the request for the necessary course.

Any activity can be considered practice if it is carried out within Communities connected to the Church, such as retreats or regular weekly practices. For further information, please visit the student website.

Starting from the 2017/18 academic year, the curriculum requires Professional Practice as a mandatory subject every semester. You can complete it at places or organizations where you can participate in some form of helping activity, and there must be a qualified supervisor with a higher education degree to validate the completed activity. The form for confirmation can be downloaded from the “Assistance/Professional Practice” section.

Grades must be entered into the index by the teacher under whose name the course is listed.

Practical grades and signatures can be entered during the last class and at the times specified by the teacher for grade entry, no later than January 15, as per the rector’s instructions, which differ from the TVSZ.

For courses ending with a colloquium, the grade offered for a paper can be entered during the exam dates assigned for the colloquium, as well as during grade entry periods, until the end of the exam period.

If you participated in a retreat that was not announced for your group, you need to request a separate confirmation for the retreat and place it in your index. Based on this, the teacher under whose name the retreat was organized will be able to enter the completion in the index. (Prior discussion is required for accepting external retreats!)

For the completion of practical subjects and professional practice, a separate confirmation of the activity from the supervisor is required, which must be placed in the index when it is submitted. The responsible teacher will enter the completion at the Academic Office.

Confirmation sheets will be removed from the index at the end of the academic year and transferred to the personal file, as they are part of the academic administration.

Financial questions

The Education Office has prepared an overview for state scholarship recipients, which can be found under the “State Scholarship” page in the “Finance/Funding” menu.

The passive semester status does not mean the termination of student status, so the student is still entitled to social security benefits during this period. The law on social security benefits specifies that an adult Hungarian citizen who is studying in full-time education at a higher education institution under the National Higher Education Act is entitled to healthcare services. (As stated in Section 16, Paragraph (1), point i), a student or a pupil is entitled to healthcare services from the start of their student status until the end of their eligibility for a student ID, including during any period of suspension of their student status.)
