The responsibility for organizing participation in the National Scientific Students’ Conference (OTDK) lies with a separate university body, the University Scientific Student Council (FTDT). The FTDT consists of two instructors (president and secretary) and a student delegate from the Student Union. (For more information, visit: https://www.tkbf.hu/foiskola/szervezet/testuletek/).
According to the operational rules, participation in the national event requires prior involvement in the institutional conference (TDK), which means presenting the completed paper at an internal conference. The national event, held every two years in spring, is prepared by the committee in two-year cycles. The cycle begins with the publication of a call at the start of the fall semester, specifying the themes announced by the OTDK, the required length, submission deadlines, and the date of the internal conference. Submitted papers are reviewed by colleagues with expertise in the relevant topics, with ad hoc involvement, and the committee then invites the presenters. After presenting at the internal conference, the student continues working with an instructor to prepare for the national conference. The TDK documentation is managed by the TDK committee secretary. Participation in the Institutional and National Conferences
The university supports participation in the institutional and national conferences through a scholarship created in 2019. The scholarship system provides financial support to 5 students for writing and presenting their papers, as well as for participating in the national event.

In addition to the OTDK, the university’s students regularly participate in other scientific events, particularly the Partium Christian University’s Partium Scientific Students’ Conference (PTDK – https://ptdk.partium.ro/hu), and the Eötvös József Collegium’s Oriental Studies Workshop annual event, the “Near and Far” Oriental Studies Conference (https://eotvos.elte.hu/content/felhivas-x-kozel-s-tavol-orientalisztika-konferencia.e.1639).
