Szati about herself
I first became closely connected to Buddhism in 1983, learning from Dr. Ernő Hetényi for nearly 3 years. Then, from 1986, I attended lectures by Antal Dobosy, László Mireisz, and László Takács until 1992, and joined the Atama Community in 1988, from the very first session. In 1992, I became a founding member of the Dharma Gate Buddhist Church (Frei Ildikó). In my work and life, I try to apply and live by Buddhist principles, symbolically following the ideal of the “bodhisattva,” especially the principles of ahimsa and karuna. My practice mainly involves Vipassana and Zen meditation, and yoga.
