The College Receives Prestigious Quality Assurance Award

Our College’s Quality Development Work Reaches an Outstanding Milestone

Our College’s quality development work has reached an outstanding milestone. The Buddhist Quality Management System (BMIR) has not only proved to be a category winner at national level, but has also reached the final of the prestigious international Quality Innovation Award 2025 competition, receiving a Finalist Certificate.

We are delighted that our efforts to support the continuous development of the College have been recognised by one of the most important international professional forums in the field. The Quality Innovation Award 2025 received approximately 600–700 applications worldwide, of which only the top 10% could reach the final. The College is proud to be among them.

From the National Award to the international final

The process began last September, when we submitted our application. Based on the decision of the Hungarian professional jury, the BMIR concept received the National Award, thereby earning the right to represent Hungary in the international competition.

The international jury evaluated the submitted applications in eight categories through a scoring procedure. Our BMIR system, entered in the education category, performed strongly in a highly competitive field, where only three applicants per category could receive the main award. Although the highest recognition was ultimately awarded to another applicant, receiving the Finalist Certificate, considering the global pool of applicants and the strict evaluation criteria, is in itself an exceptional achievement.

The Finalist Certificate and the National Award were received by Gábor Karsai, Rector of the College, on 30 April 2026.

This success also provides an important point of reference for the College’s strategic developments in the coming years. Our achievements, together with what we hope will be a positive outcome in the international accreditation procedure, provide a solid foundation for launching an English-language programme and further strengthening our quality development directions.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to our consultant colleague, Dr. habil. Gyöngyvér Hervainé Szabó, for her professional contribution, as well as to all colleagues of the College who, over the years, have contributed with their knowledge and dedication to the continuous development of our institution.
